In 2015, the Communities Housing Trust (CHT) undertook a Housing Needs Survey on behalf of the community in Strontian.
In 2016, CHT then facilitated a community-driven Masterplan, or Place Plan, for Strontian and surrounding area, in partnership with the Strontian Development Steering Group and Rural Design Architects. This was then adopted into the Local Development Plan by the local authority.
